Bluetooth beam........ help!!!!!

ok, i just upgraded to the hero from the touch pro. and the connector is broken so the people at the sprint store cant transfer the contacts. but my touch pro can send all of my contacts over beam, but my hero wont accept the beam. everytime i tap on the "tap to send" it will just say "pending" then "failed" and i dont know why. PLEASE HELP!!! I HAVE OVER 250 CONTACTS AND DONT WANT TO DO THE BY HAND!

Bluetooth file transfer is only available in Android 2.0+
the hero runs 1.6 and HTC have no released the Android 2.1 yet.
I think the custom roms can allow bluetooth file transfer (so long as they are based on android 2+ system)

Use the search button. There are many many posts both about bt file transfer and guides to move your contacts. It's very easy and won't take long. Use the search and find which method suits you best.
