Been trying to set up hands free texting, but I've run into an issue. It seems my HTC sense Android will only use the Bluetooth headset for phone calls. It wont go through my bluetooth for any apps. Which makes Hands free texting very difficult. I've found many apps that support hands off Voice to text SMS, but since I can't find a way for them to go through my Bluetooth headset it may as well be pointless, since I'd have to shout to be heard over my car without picking up the phone and putting it to my mouth..

    Any suggestions?

I would also appreciate any suggestions for hands free texting apps. Sonalights Voice to text seems nice, but I dislike that it puts a "Sent by voice to text yada yada" at the end of each text.

I created an app just for the purpose of hands free texting. HFT (Hands Free Texting) is an app that will work with all kinds of bluetooth devices as well as car bluetooth devices as well. You can check it out here. It is a great app with a lite version as well. If you need any help or have any suggestions, email me at support[at]

I don't quite understand how this works. I have a 2011 Ford Flex with Sync technology. I control everything in the car by voice. When I get a text, I hear a chime, and the screen shows that I have a text and asks would I like to listen to it. I have 10 or so canned replies I can send back. None of this involves taking my phone out of my purse. So how, with this app and my Razr, do I speak a text without having my hands on my phone?
