I'm looking to put together a list of known working and non-working Bluetooth devices with the G1. Eventually I'd like this to be the comprehensive list of supported Bluetooth devices.

If you use a Bluetooth device or have tried to use a Bluetooth device with no luck, please take a few seconds to leave a post letting me know the device and whether or not it works, and I'll add it to the list.

    Known to work:
    Nokia BH803
    Plantronics Discovery 925 BT
    Sony Ericsson HBH PV712 (Akoni)
    Sony Ericsson HBH-PV708
    Sony Ericsson HBH-PV703
    Motorola T-305 hands-free car speaker
    Ford/Microsoft Sync

    Known NOT to work:

I'm not sure about other headsets, but to get the Sony Ericsson ones working I had to factory reset them before pairing with any new phone. This might be something you have to do to all headsets before pairing with a different device, I don't know.

I understand at his point, we are only talking about Headsets ... but I assume that it will broaden into other other hardware as new BT drivers come to the phone ....

Actually, I'm looking for every kind of Bluetooth enabled device. This thread serves two purposes, one is to have a list of known working and non-working devices for all to use, and two, to find some devices that don't work yet but do work in Cupcake.

Motorola T-305 Blue-tooth hands-free car speaker works fine with my G1. Cheap unit, but I hate earpieces and this gets the job done.

The telephone works with voice commands on Ford Sync. Haven't tried the music yet.

I'd like to know if ANY of the bluetooth devices work with voice dialing. I have a Plantronics Voyager 520 that pairs with the G1, but the only way that I can use the voice commands feature is by holding down the "send" button until a microphone appears on the screen - of little use to someone who's visually impaired. I've gotten conflicting info from T-Mobile tech support, including the possibility that a stereo bluetooth MAY activate the voice dialing, but not sure. HELP!

Thanks, sounds great - but I'm a total newbie - cupcake? A2DP? AVRCP? And what is the anticipated arrival time of this technology?

Motorola HT820 Stereo bluetooth headset works great with adp 1.5.
It seems to have some problems with the controls though - first they worked fine (rewind, play/pause) but recently they don't. I'll try to delete and pair again and see if it works then. Playng music thru A2DP is great, clear and as loud as it gets.

Bluetooth doesn't work with the Nav System. It sounds over modulated. Callers can't hear me.

Motorola MotoRokr t505. Handsfree speaker-phone with stereo bluetooth and FM transmitter. Pairs and works fine.

This is another low end moto unit with an added cool feature, the fm transmitter will allow you to play tunes from your android on ANY car stereo, with zero hookup required. Just tell the unit to scan and it will tell you where to tune your car stereo. As usual, Moto's design is horrible. I sure hope the Android team doesn't include the guys that worked on this design. The unit has buttons on both the front, sides, and back. The scanning system for the FM modulator is kind of awkward. There is no way to select a particular station to tune the unit to, except through trial and error when scanning. It does not do a great job of picking the most suitable station. I had to repeat the scan process 6-8 times before the unit found a decent channel. Moto still has not learned their lesson from previous units of this type with regards to flashing lights being a distraction when situated on the visor above your eyes, but it is not as bright and a noticeable improvement over older units. The unit plays audio from phone calls over the car stereo and audio is not bad once you find a good station to tune to.

Even with these design flaws it is still a neat little unit, and the only one out right now (as far as I know) that can transmit to your car stereo. A neat little toy, if a little awkward to use. I paid $79 at BB, but they can be had for quite a bit less online (I had a store credit).

I just paired my G1 with my HT820 that's been collecting dust for some time. Everything works great except the fact that I can't place calls using voice dialing on the headset... i can receive calls and place calls via phone and hear through headset, media also sounds great... wish the voice dialing worked though... probably only works with motorola phones.
