    What's not connecting?

It sounds like your bluetooth IS turning on, just not connecting to a particular device. Am I right?

Okay... so go to SETTINGS>WIRELESS & NETWORKS>BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

Option for Bluetooth should be unchecked.

Touch on the Bluetooth checkmark box. It should read, "turning on". When it does, the other options should become available.

Is this where your device is not working? It doesn't turn on?

Check to make sure that your airplane mode isn't on. Bluetooth won't turn on when airplane mode is running.

This happened to me yesterday. I thought it was because my battery was so low. Is your battery very low? If not, it might be symptomatic of something bigger. My sdhc card and USB stopped working at about the same time. Check to see that your phone can still recognize that there is an sdhc card in there. Also, check to see when you plug it into your computer that you are prompted to choose a connection type. And, as always, pull out the battery and put it back in.

And for what it's worth, I thought "talk dirty to it" was pretty funny! :)

I have an incredible and was just searching around if anyone else is having this problem. I was trying to transfer a file via bluetooth and couldnt get it to connect. Now whenever i restart my phone the bluetooth is on and when i try to turn it off the setting just grey's out and i can't do anything to it. I can't even tell if the bluetooth stays on even though the icon disappears but i know i can't turn the setting back on.

I am having a similar problem. My Bluetooth turns on but won't connect to my devices any more. It connects for up to 5sec and then disconnects. Very frustrating

I'm having this same problem. Going to the wireless settings shows the option to turn on bluetooth but as soon as I do, the option greys out and nothing else happens. Also, I noticed that the bluetooth widget on my home screen is stuck in the "on"position but doesn't respond to any user input. I tried restarting the phone several times to no avail. I am rooted and running the undervolted/overclocked kernel so I'm going to try and restore my nand backup. But if anyone had any other ideas first I'm all ears.

Are there any other devices that could be causing signal problems? BT sometimes has connectivity problems around 2.4Ghz cordless house phones and other devices with wireless signal.

I had a connection problem with a different device and couldn't figure out why. Turns out the wireless signal from my wireless keyboard or my wireless printer had to be the culprit. Just shut them off, made the connection and it seems to work regardless of them both being on ever since.
