I was just poking around at the open source samsung page and found a new download:

    Model: SPH-M930_BST
    Version: FF27
    Source code: SPH-M930-BST_GB_Opensource.zip

So I downloaded it and it's 130mb. The file in the zip was modified 7-22-12, but has no file extension so I have no idea what it is, or what to do with it.

Edit: Ok so there are 2 zip files with the same name, how confusing.. the other has kernal and platform zips in it that are dated 7-27-12 :)

These are source code files, they can be compiled and used to create flashable files.

I just clicked the email button and requested to know what this upgrade is for. Looks like its for Boost with the BST. And GB looks like its still Gingerbread.

I will post back when they respond.

That would be nice to know. I wish Samsung included some kind of changelog. I posted this in hopes that someone with more knowledgable might be able to find out what changed. Obviously the baseband has been updated judging by the version FF27, and looking through and comparing file dates with the May update it looks like the kernel has been updated too. That's about all I can figure out though.

Wow not only is the response longer than 24 hours it's absolutely pointless.

"What does this FF27 fix or update? I noticed GB so is it still Gingerbread? And I see it's for the Boost Model. Thanks in advanced.

try asking a different way . the way you asked sounded like you were confused about what it was for and not what it had changed as a fix, make sure to put the model number in there to help cut the wait and dumbness of the reply. also if you look at the page it does have changelog info there you just have to read till you find what you want
