Although this is neat, if genuine, I'd have preferred they posted the normal update.zip that you could flash to the phone without having been rooted with the bootstrap. (For stock 2.1 users)

I'll probably pass on this until that shows up.

    I got this error:
    E:Can't open /sdcard/DX-2313-Deodexed.zip
    (bad)
    Installation aborted.

Does this mean I need to do the Format System step?
If so, does Format systyem do any damage or will I lose anything? root? apps? ect

It just looks like your ZIP file wasn't downloaded or copied to the SD card right. Try copying it again, if that fails, redownload it.

Yeah, mine did this too, so I formatted the system, and now it's booting up...let's see if it shows 2.3.13 now.

Also, I hope the PC Mode is fixed..

So this is the "official" OTA update that will be releasing by VZW very shortly? If so, this is a big FU to Motorola for scaring everyone into thinking they couldn't upgrade from the earlier "leaked" 2.2 to the "official" OTA version. :D

That said, I have no intention of installing this until I see if there are any differences. Right now, I'm running a very stable FlyX.

Does anyone know if this updates the kernel to supposedly address all 512mb of RAM? .... though I'm not sure if there was any consensus on whether the earlier leaked version was able to access all of the RAM?

Does this version fix the Force Close issue when clicking on the battery icon?

Does this version have any Market issues where protected apps don't show up?

    Need these answers first! :)

Well....I'm reading through it now because its a .rar file and run linux  so I'm trying to figure out how to do it here if possible so I don't have to boot into evil windows and set up all the adb stuff. Might be a long night
