So I am supposed to be selling my phone today so I did a fresh wipe, well like the idiot I am I wiped the guys phone number that I was supposed to meet to sell the phone. Well my genius room mate decided he knew how to get it back, so he does some Nand? restore, it froze and he pulled the battery and now all I get is a black screen. Any ideas?

Do this, and see if it helps
    (From Frisco's 'Factory Reboot Option')

    - Shut down your device.

    - While holding down both the volume-down toggle and the send or "phone" button, press the power button.

    - Wait a moment, and a screen will come up: read the print completely and follow directions, it'll walk you through the simple process.

Sometimes it takes a while depending on what ROM you did the backup on. Noteably, the EvilEris ROM takes 5-7 minutes (or perhaps a little longer) sometimes; if that's the one you're running. Give it a little time and see what the result is.

*EDIT* As a way to retrieve the phone number, you could logon to your Verizon account and look back through your call history, and maybe isolate the number based upon time/date.

If you pulled the battery while flashing it could be a bad flash, I don't think it would brick it because it wasn't flashing anything important like radio, recovery, or bootloader.
I would say try boot into recovery and flash a rom and see if it works.
    I could be wrong though.

Thanks, I got it fixed, but all of me and the other guys communications were through text messages.

Huh - so they are, I never knew that. Good thing I'm not having an affair and sending text message back and forth to someone I shouldn't be... :)

Your texts were there, or the numbers you texted to were there?

Sorry if that was a little unclear. Just the numbers.
