I got home today and the screen on my nexus 7 is broken. It looks like there is a crack in it but there is nothing there when the screen is black. There are also vertical lines that make some of the screen unreadable. It works fine otherwise. Anyone have any idea what is wrong. Thanks

I assume something (or someone) heavy was placed on it... perhaps stepped on? Glass survived, screen (digitizer?) not so much...

Glad to hear you got a new one. I had a screen failure on one and was lucky enough to have google replace it.

Yeah they actually gave me the 32gb one which was an upgrade over my 16 at no extra cost. Christmas spirit I guess?
