Help browser and other apps not closing

just got evo after looking for a while. very happy and i think i get most of it. i noticed that when i open the browser and do some surfing and then close it. when i click on the icon to reopen the same page comes up. the same thing happens witth facebook. any ideas? how do i close the browser and have it reopen on the home page i have set.

Try using Dolphin Browser HD from the market. It lets you close, clear cookies and history on exit too. Can't tell you much about the facebook app other than its awful and m.Facebook.com is much better (save it as a bookmark). Since its in your browser, you can close it out...

I have found the only ways to completely truly close them are to use the back button to back completely out or to use the highly frowned upon task killer method or the manual foreclose method.

I use the back button
