Calendar ONLY detects "My Calendar"!!!

Hello everyone,

I got my Samsung galaxy captivate a month ago and I'm having some issues with the calendar (I did search everywhere for 2 days and wasn't able to fix my problem... sigh)

When I go to my calendar --> menu --> settings --> calendar, I only see "My Calendar" and I DO NOT see my xx@gmail.com address.

So, I can't see any of my google calendar tasks in my phone


When I go to my calendar --> menu --> settings --> calendar sync, I do have my default gmail account synched with contacts/gmail/calendar.

I do not have any problems with my email or anything else... it's just my calendar that is not working!!

Will factory reset solve this issue???
Do you guys see your google calendar account when you go to: calendar --> menu --> settings --> calendar?

Does anyone here know how to solve this issue? Thank you so much!!

Go to menu-settings-accounts and sync. Click on your gmail account, and make sure Sync Calendar is checked.

yup did that... did everything possible really. I tried to add another gmail account and remove the original one, but did not work...

I also just updated to Froyo last night and it runs significantly faster. Will resetting the phone downgrade it to Eclair?

Also, how do you keep contacts, apps etc. in Kies so that I can reinstall it after the reset?? Thanks!!
