    Hey everyone,

Anyone knows how I can call a phone number that appears in the browser? iPhone used to turn those automatically to click-able links that call to the phone app, not so in Android.

I've also tried to copy the number and paste it in the phone app, however, it didn't seem to work. Is there another way? Or maybe I should use another browser?

    Thanks!

I did this for the first time the other day. I found that by touching the number and holding it, the number was recognized and the dialer came up.

Try going to the menu, selecting "more" and going to "select text", copying the number off then pasting it into the phone dialling app.

I've tried that and it didn't seem to work. I've tried doing paste in the stock dial app and nothing was pasted :(

It is an Israeli phone XX-XXXXXXX so I guess it is possible that Nexus doesn't recognize it, but please, try it on yours to make sure:

    rest -

    Thanks for trying :)

It is indeed the way it is usually appears in Hebrew sites, not sure what exactly is confusing Android. It might be the RTL-issues of the numbers and the apostrophe between them.

    Oh well, shame.

Maybe the Android robot does not like Hebrew?

It's not just Hebrew, it's also the same in the UK and it's one of the major annoyances for me.

I hope 2.2 fixes this - can anyone confirm?

I too switched from iphone to Samsung Galaxy with Android in Australia. My only regret is that I used to be able to click on any phone number in a web page; but now the numbers only show as text. I can select text from menu, copy and then paste it in dialler but this is not the perfect solution. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix for it. This is for all numbers in web pages ( such as: 02 4995 1234).
I used to be able to click on this and it would call it.
    Please help.
