Is there a way to use my computer to make calls through my Eris?

I want to dial from my computer, speak through my computer's microphone and hear the other person through my computer's speakers. I don't want to use VOIP though, I just want a program that will sync those functions with my phone. I ultimately would like to be able to dock my phone and not have to touch it until I want to unplug it.

Is this currently possible and if so how?

I think possibly with a Bluetooth dongle, it would work. I've never actually done it though.

What would be the program I run on my computer to control the phone? Is it built into the SDK?

I dont think thats what the TC was asking. Calling through Google Voice would call the eris first and then call the number you want it to call. You wouldn't be able to talk through a mic or the speakers.

Used to have a program from Motorola for a Razr that you could do that with. Haven't seen one for the Eris.

I have windows 7 and it works just fine.. Just search "bluetooth" in the start menu search bar. It will bring up bluetooth manager and theres a option in there to use the computer for calls.

I am using Windows 7 but that doesn't seem to work on my computer. Do you know of a way that I can do this using USB instead of BlueTooth?
