i work for comcast and we ose microsoft exchange but i believe we use 2003. thats what it says when i go to my owa website for remote email access.
i use the owa for my berry to get the emails pushed and was wondering if android could push it.
my remote access website is https://webmail.comcast.com and i dont know if it is possible.
i have heard about an app called touchdown but i also dont know if it would work.
i am thinking about getting the moment because i am on sprint because it has the faster processor than the hero. i may wait for the supersonic though.

if you could please let me know if i can push my email that would be awesome or if it is possible from a different app or way to do it.

I have push email on my HTC Tattoo. I can sync calendar and contacts too.

BUT, there is an issue. I can't sned emails. There is a bug/issue in Android 1.6 around security settings. There is a workaround whereby your IT put you in exceptions, but my IT Dept don't allow this.

I'm sure other people can tell you more, I'm not an expert in this. But happily I can check my calendar and urgent emails even if I don;t have my works blackberry with me.

I use touchdown form my corporate exchange server connection.
    Does push mail.

It should work for you provided your company does not keep the exchange server behind the corporate fire wall. Just need to know the exchange server machine name.

I use it all the time with my home exchange server (2003) & my Droid. Mail, contacts & calendar works fine. first you need the exchange server to push to your phone & 2 you need to setup your phone to accept the exchange data.

Yeah I heard I can use 2003 but if I did I would have to get the pin or something like that. My it department are so full of themselvs and won't allow any devices on their server. I went to them when I used winmo and palm and they said no and also it wasn't possible but I found the app seven that was a proxy server.
Our cooperate bigwigs have company issue blackberrys that are on bes and have a work email pushed to them.
I bought a berry and since it wasn't on the companys email server they told me that they couldn't do it and even if they did it wouldn't work because there are security things in place to stop people from doing this. I later bought a blackberry and have since figured out a way to have email pushed to my berry.

So I know in some cases it can be done but it has to be done by an app and not having to know about server pins or what not. Mainly because my IT department is filled with tools. Lol

so that's the scenario a bit more in depth. I really appreciate your replies and would really love to be part of the android movement because the os looks sweet and I would never buy an iPhone I think I have droid rage cause my berry doesn't have anything in the cool factor anymore. Lol

IT dep won't allow it on a personal mobile because they aren't in control of said mobiles security, I assume that the company blackberrys have a stringent locking process, so if one gets lost company info is secured.

Anyway I think they just need to allow your email/user for activesyn access? I have a company BB and thus I am allowed access there, but it also works on my Hero too.
