    Nm, Thanks rooters and rootettes.. you've been fascinating.. I'm new yo this Android world.. but it turns out universal androot rocks.. and it helped. i can't open superuser anymore so I guess it worked..

    yeah the superuser app will remain installed until you remove it from your application list. And you will get the OTA if rooted just not if you're running the leaked 2.2 or anything else.

    Oh really?? then why is everyone scared about their phone rooted and the OTA?

    Everyones just scaring me :(..

    dont be scared. unleash the beast. if you upgrade to the leaked 2.2 all you have to do to get the real 2.2 is flash the sbf using RSD lite which is way too simple for everybody to have trouble doing it.

    In theory you could brick your phone using the one-click root. BUT, it takes a sort of catastrophe to have that happen. Don't let people scare you. Ultimately it's your phone, do what you want and enjoy it however you want.

    And really when you say "bricking" you're probably referring to being stuck at the motorola M logo, not paperweight mode. With the SBF its so easy to flash back that there isn't a reason not to explore the inner workings of it all.
