Can I hang up ongoing call when receiving a new call?

Hi all,

I have a Samsung Nexus S running Android 2.3.6.

When I receive a new call while I already have an active one, I have the choice to take or not take the new call.

If I take the new call, the current call goes on hold. Is there a way to terminate current call before answering the new one?

Very often, someone will call me while I'm leaving a message in his voice mail. When I take the call, the other call stays connected to the voice mail which is very annoying...

The other call should be in the notification bar and you should be able to hang up on it via the notification bar.
