Can I root a new Evo? Or are new ones all patched up now?

Just curious what the verdict is there. I had no problem rooting my first one, but now I have a bunch of paid root apps to carry over and it would suck to not be rooted because they are shipping with a patch or something.

Does anyone know the answer?

I can answer this question. Picked up a new Evo for wife today. Not updated. I have to do gets tonight.

So yes. New Evos can still be rooted.
