Help Can I run a home launcher from sd card ?

I`ve tried a few different replacement home programs & at the moment quite like Dxtop. I did like ADW, but the laucher and any themes were `stuck` in the internal memory - which I`ve got precious little left.

Dxtop seems to run great - but - when I connect the phone to the PC on a usb the launcher stops (as the sd card is unmounted). When I remove the usb I can reselect the launcher but the widgets disappear.

Is this something specific to Dxtop, the desire, android or just me !

I didnt seem to have a problem when running Launcherpro.

Any views guys ?

You can't use any apps moved to sd in froyo if you unmount sd. Only if rooted and partitioned sd card can this be possible

Dan, I'm not trying to use the apps whilst the phone is connected to usb and the card unmounted. It's after disconnecting, the widgets either disappear totally or show 'problem with widget' and have to be removed and readded.
