I know this question has been asked, but there hasnt been any recent post about this.. I'm thinking on purchasing a samsung vibrant and unlocked it and use it on ATT. Anybody else out there have any success on the samsung vibrant using the $10 dollar data plan. I do not want to purchase the $25 data plan.
    Thanks

If you're going to use AT&T then any data plan will work because they don't know that you're using a vibrant :D

I just unlocked my Mytouch3G and I'm using the sim card out of my Pantech Reveal on AT&Ts network. I don't want to pay $25 for the 2GB plan and as of now I only have talk & text.

Isn't the $10 plan considered a feature phone plan?

Yes you can! I got one unlocked from craigslist also and Im on the AT&T family data plan for $10 a month. I use about 4-5GB a month of data and i havent had any problems for atleast 4 months. Plus it works on 3G!

It wouldn't let me add the $10 data plan. I had to opt for the $15 Unlimited data Quick Messaging/Basic Phone plan.

    Still better than $30 though.

i'm not sure how this works. the link i went to says you have to get an unlimited texting plan, which is another $15 (to get the $10 dumbphone plan) Answer Center | AT&T

tried ordering a phone (non smartphone) on amazon, and it's $30 for an unlimited texting and data plan. no option for a $10 data plan, and even if that's the case.. i probably still have to get that unlimited texting plan.

i'm about to switch over to att, and im nto sure how this all works.
