Can someone run me through installing the most recent 2.2 update (the "official" one). I have my phone rooted through unrevoked but nothing else. Everything else is stock. What would I need to do from this point??
    Thanks

Download the ROM to the root of your SD card. Use ROM Manager ->install from zip SD card,, or boot into recovery, select install zip from SD card. You should make a nandroid first though, and titanium backups of any apps/data you may want, as you should do a data/cache wipe to make sure there's no garbage left behind.

Actually, You need to install a new radio. So basically you're starting from scratch here. You should do unrevoked forever, so you can easily install the radio. Otherwise you have n ugly process ahead of you. I have all this documented on my site, or you can search the forums, as all these steps have been covered, and there's nothing special about the latest ROM.

Ok i did unrevoked forever and have the 2.15 radio. I downloaded the most recent froyo version from over at xda. I got both the odexed and deodexed versions (which should I use?). Now that I have this all done, do I wipe data and them just install from zip like I normally would in clockwork recovery?

Yep. Install through ROM Manager or Recovery like any other ROM. Unless you plan to hack the ROM itself, the odexing shouldn't affect you. That said, I generally choose deodexed just because.

    DO A NANDROID FIRST ;)

Oh...sorry for the noob question but where do I go to wipe data and cache?
Will this revert me to stock? I know unrevoked forever allows flashing of custom recovery so do i just use rom manager to re flash recovery?
    Thanks

It won't revert anything, but it will wipe all your apps/data. You don't want stale stuff lying around when you do a new ROM install. If you have apps/data you want to restore, use titanium backup and backup all apps + data.

In recovery, there's an option to wipe data/cache. In ROM Manager, when you select install from SD, select your ROM, it will ask you if you want to backup & wipe data/cache. I like ROM manager, cuz it does everything for you in one step.

wouldnt it be kind of pointless to backup all data if that may cause an issue in the first place?
Or is it better to restore the data after I install the new rom?

You do a nandroid, so you have a safe fallback if something goes wrong. You do the Titanium backups so you can selectively choose what you want to restore after you get the new ROM up and running.

Make sure that you DO NOT restore any system apps, or else you are going to overwrite all the 2.2 apps. I would only select the 3rd party apps/data, and your sms/mms if you care about that.

I'd just reinstall the ROM, it's not like it takes that long.

Do I need unrevoked Forever, or does just the normal unrevoked work? I'm currently rooted with SkyRaider 2.5.2 Sense and 2.05.

You need forever if you want to update the radio to 2.15. Other than that you don't need it. It definitely makes things easier though.
