I was wondering if it's possible to return your phone within the 30 day period and get the same phone again for a lower price (if they happen to have promotions going on)?

Yes, it sounds crazy and like a lot of work, but if it means saving $100 through some promotion that might happen mid-May, it may be worth it?

If you purchased the phone from verizon you don't have to. They have a price protection within the first 30 days of the purchase of your device. You have 60 days (it might be 90 days) to contact customer service and let them know what price you bought the device and what was the new price. They will issue a credit to your account within a few days. I used to work for VZW and i had purchased an Env touch and 2 weeks later they dropped the price by $50 so I had to submit a form since i was an employee. As a customer just call customer service

    Yup.

However, it is very unlikely VZW (if thats indeed where you bought it) will lower their price on a brand new flagship within the first month.

You bought it the week that phone was released? (This is what I'm basing it off of since the OP is posting this question at this time, 2 days into the release)

im not certain. I got it pretty close to release. If the price does change though, or they offer a BOGO they will adjust your price if you ask. the price might not change, but they might offer BOGO, so you can help a freind and split the money.

2 phones for 200 with bogo. so you each can pay 100. me and my brother did that on the droid.

Yeah, I definitely expect a BOGO sooner or later, but not for atleast a few months (similiar timetable to the Droid's offer, which was around 5-6 months)

I don't see a bogo offer any time soon. They had delayed shipments until 5/7 but if you look at the website it now says they are delayed until 5/14 due to high demand. Verizon will definitely not offer a BOGO soon. These things ate selling fast. I was one if the lucky ones that got it 2 days early.

At this point I think most stores are either out if them or about to be. This phone is worth it. I have an ipod touch that I used everyday but since Tuesday it has been neglected. The marketplace has many of the apps I used on a daily bases. The games ate fun but after a while you stop using them.

The supposedly high demand for the phone is overstated. I walked into a BestBuy yesterday evening, and walked out with the phone in under 5 minutes. No pre-order necessary, no waiting lists, no problem.

This was a store in the middle of Chicago, in a wealthy neighborhood, so there's a high concentration of Verizon customers with disposable cash. Just not that many people care about the Incredible.

If you live in this forum, you can can get a skewed perspective on things. If Verizon is delaying orders its a supply problem, not a demand problem.

A lot of people don't want to go to Best Buy for various reasons firstly, especially for phones (hope you didnt get conned into their scam insurance).

Secondly, there was ZERO marketing and there is STILL ZERO marketing for this phone.

With how many are sold and how they are sold out proves the demand is not understated considering this is UNDERGROUND only.

As I said, the phone is not sold out in retail channels. I had a much harder time getting my original Storm than I did getting the Incredible.

Also, the Incredible is on the cover of the BestBuy weekly circular. Granted print advertising isn't the same as tv or radio, but you are wrong that there has been zero marketing.

To answer the original poster's question, yes you can return the phone to get a better price. I'll be returning mine 100% guaranteed. BestBuy has a full 30 day refund policy -- no restocking fee, no hassles. If anyone is selling the phone for less by the end of 30 days, I (and you) could easily repurchase the phone an reap the reward.
