    Hello; first post here.

Have a new Nexus 4 and struggling with file handling.

If I download a file from the net, I can see and open that file in the 'Downloads' folder. When I connect to a PC via USB and transfer files using Windows Explorer, I can see the files in Explorer but when I tap the Downloads icon on the phone they do not show up.

Am I doing something wrong? Have they gone to another (hidden) folder?

    TIA

Anything you download you can see using the Download app; anything you transfer you won't see without installing a file explorer (wherever you place it). There are many free apps on the Play Store, personally I use ES File Explorer.

Thanks very much for your help. ES File Explorer did the job well.

Could not believe file management was not included.
