Can't Access URL Websites

Recently I seem to have great difficulty accessing website pages.
If I click on a website URL on my Samsung Galaxy S3 the "blue line" indicating the progress freezes and won't open the website.
If I copy and paste the URL into Google Chrome it seems to works fine.
Can anyone offer some help please.

Maybe you should try going to Settings->application manager->all aplications->Internet-> and there Clear data and Clear Cache.

Somethings probably happened with the default browser, maybe the cache is corrupt or something. As @haplo suggested, try clearing it's cache and data.

Here is what I did:
Settings>More, under System manager>Application manager.
I find a listing of many programs on my unit but no "Internet" program.

Would it be listed someplace else?

I know I said I could not find "Internet" in my applications but I went to Google and cleared the data and cache and that seemed to do the trick.

But I'm still mystified by not finding "Internet as an application.
