Root Can't Get into Recovery

So my wife's phone will no longer go into Recovery mode. I have the most up to date recovery image, but for some reason it keeps getting stuck on the white HTC Incredible screen when it first boots up. It's currently running Virtuous 3.1 and I'd like to update her to CM7.

What steps are you trying to get into recovery? Can you get into hboot?

try to pull the battery and re insert it while holding the bottom volume button down

Nevermind. I used the alternate recovery that is listed at the bottom of ROM Manager. It worked. Thanks for the help anyways.

Yea, the new CWM Recovery is weird, the newest version is for GB, but the older one is for everything prior. Almost broke my phone and blew an upgrade on the Bolt before I knew this. I was so pissed.
