Help cant hear people

I cannot hear people when they talk. I have a HTC Incredible Droid. If I put it on speaker....it is fine. If I play a video or you tube it is fine.

If a reboot (battery pull) or a factory reset doesn't fix it then you are having a hardware problem. Some people have had success running a strong magnet across the earpiece to remove any metal particles that may be shorting the speaker out. If it isn't under warranty any ore, there would be no harm taking it apart and seeing if you can fix it.
