Can't load a rom!

    I know there are a lot of threads about this kinda of stuff but I cant find my problem so im starting another.. Im a newbie when it comes to this stuff. I already rooted my phone but i cant even come close to loading a rom.     I dont see a serial number when i do the abd. Please help. Also when im in my sdk and i hit run sdk it opens it closes right away so i can't type anything in. Thanks for ur help

    How to load a custom rom in 8 easy steps:

    1. Put rom on SD card.
    2. Reboot into recovery by pressing the power and volume up buttons while the phone is off.
    3. Make a nandroid backup of your current rom.
    4. Wipe data/factory reset.
    5. Wipe dalvik cache.
    6. Choose 'flash zip from sdcard'.
    7. Choose new rom.
    8. Reboot.

    To use the SDK, you need to open a command prompt. Start -> Run -> cmd, hit enter. You use the "cd" command to change the current directory to the tools subdirectory in the SDK directory, and run commands from there.
