    hi all

I bought hts desire 2 days ago and very impressed with it.

but started to get annoying with Google maps.

Either I dont understand how it works or my desire not working properly.

With no problem I can connect to GPS and can see its on but when i go to Maps application I cant see anything except flashing blue arrow. Maps dont load :(

My maps loaded when I connect to WiFi.

Does it mean I always have to connect to GPS and internet to load maps?

Feels strange that i cant see any maps with only GPS on.

    Can you please hel me.

    Thanks

Pretty sure GPS just pinpoints your position and there is no data transfer. You will need internet access to load the maps.

To use Google Maps you need internet access, but there are other navigation apps available that have maps stored on your phones storage.

Co-pilot and a host of others, but all will cost you to buy.

mapdroyd is free and stores maps on the phone. Can't say if it's worth anything.
