Can't see apps in market

    I can't find certain apps in Market. I just tried to download Kindle-via Market and barcode, and it's 'not located'.

    Tried to download EEBA as well, both ways, and no dice. I had to have the dev send me the APK to load EEBA.

    WTH is up with this? Is it a version flub? Or just a wonky phone?

    Are you rooted? If so, you may be using a ROM that is in debug mode. I had this problem and flashed to a different ROM and it fixed the problem.

    I have the same question: the Kindle app for Android does not show up when I search for it in the Android Marketplace, via my Samsung moment phone.

    Same goes for the Kobo app.

    Is anyone else having the same problem?

    Has anyone solved it?

    No, not rooted. (I am not 100% certain what that means. :eek:)

    Just a stock phone. I did talk to Inland this morning, and the new upgrade (2.1? 2.2? :confused:) is supposed to be out next week. Maybe that's at least part of the problem-turns out Kindle is for 1.6+, and I'm on 1.5.

    What do you mean, flashed to a new ROM?

    Kindle seems to be limited by country. I have emailed Amazon about it (for my country only though). Will post up their response when they do respond (the website says within 12 hours).

    Update: After Amazon customer service pissed me off with their "all-customers-are-noobs-by-default" attitude, I got them to give me their best reply: They don't really know and I should contact my mobile service provider.

    And so I did. To this date, I got nothing from my service provider except "We have forwarded your message to the relevant department."

    Still, no Kindle in my Market.
