Can't send or receive SMS - tried everythingSupport

    For the last 2 days, I haven't been able to receive sms text or send. I CAN receive pics through text messaging. I have called T-Mobile tech support, they say it is not my phone, it is not my sim's the network and the "engineers" are supposed to be working on it. How is it that my husbands phone is perfectly fine on the same network?

    These phones are both brand new. The first day my text messaging worked and then it just mysteriously stopped. I have uninstalled my apps - didn't work. Reinstalled - didn't work. Rebooted - didn't work. Finally, I wiped the whole damn thing....STILL didn't work.

    All this....I still have a problem believing it's the network and not my phone. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Totally frustrated!

    Update - It seems that I CAN receive text messages from T-Mobile and apps that I install, just not anyone I WANT to hear from. I totally don't get it!

    try this test.

    get your husbands phone, remove its SIM card, put that card in yours, then try texting his number from a friends phone. if your phone with his sim starts receiving texts just fine, that means its definately not your phone or the network.

    I am thinking they messed up your priviledges for your account, I am really betting it was some new person who inputted a mistake on your file and took away your texting services and no one else noticed becuase they hate being wrong.

    of course, if you put your husbands sim in your phone and texts DONT come through, that means your phone probably has a problem, and you should focus on getting it replaced rather than telling tmobile their account system is broken.
