Hello everyone, I have a HTC EVO and all of sudden yesterday I couldn't sign into the twitter app for Friend Stream:confused:. Has anybody else had this problem and if so how did you fix it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Twitter shut down their old Basic Authentication API's and are only allowing apps that use OAuth to connect to their servers.

Peep, which is the twitter client Friend Stream uses, has not been updated to support OAuth.

I heard this as well, however I just sent a tweet from my "Peep" application on my EVO just a moment ago and verified it did in fact post.

Viewing it on my twitter account now, even had the silly signature that I forgot to remove " half a minute ago via HTC Peep "

Perhaps Twitter has turned back on other authentication methods?

What's interesting is the FriendStream widget and app , do NOT show my update.. so it seems Peep can still send.. but I cannot see anyone's tweets :(

HTC better fix this fast, Friendstream is probably their best widget and only reason I even kept sense on my Evo.
