Help Can't Upgrade past 4.06

Every couple of weeks, I get a message that says my phone needs to shut down to install an update. I accept and nothing happens. No shut-down, no install, no upgrade. I've been stuck at 4.06 for months.

Is there a way (or need) to force an upgrade from 4.06 to 4.08 on a stock (non-root) phone? Thanks in advance.

Factory reset. its the only way it would install for me.

There is manual install instructions in the root section (root is not required) You would just follow step two. I'll get you the link..
