Help Capacitive Buttons

The capacitive buttons, Back/Menu/Home/Search, have been working intermittently at best.
When they do work the sensitivity is very poor, also sometimes rocking back and forth on the key scrolls the screen up and down.

Things I have tried to no avail:
Flashed between stock, CM6, CM7#13-all have the same issue.
Cleaned screen with rubbing alcohol.
Removed Screen Protector

Any other options?

Welcome to the forums, vanfeer.

Some users claim success on that issue by switching to a 3rd party launcher, such as Launcher Pro or ADW, etc.

I also noticed a post in another forum stating that after having the screen protector off for a few days, and wiping several times, the buttons returned to normal.

The buttons where dead this morning so I bought a used replacement.
