Careful about running "lagfix" or "trim" apps

Hey all, some helpful info for you.
Some of you, especially those who have had a commando installation for over 6 months and/or is low on space, may notice that it is a bit slow. There are apps to fix that, like these:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grilledmonkey.lagfix
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fifthelement.trimmer

These are great apps, and they work, *however*:
There is a possibility that you device may have what is called the "eMMC BrickBug", either by a faulty firmware, hardware, or other. One of my phones had it for 2 years, I never knew until I tried to run one of the above two apps. Here is how you can test for it. Run this app from the play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.vinagre.android.emmc_check

It will read (no writes) every eMMC sector on the device and check for read failures. That way, if you do have a bad chip, you know not to run the trim apps or you will brick your phone. (since the trim apps will read and write)
