Changing APN's....no way or let's play?

Hey guys I was using a dalvik explorer app as well as some android info app when i discovered a list of APN's and Usernames and passwords. The first question to pop up of course is what happens when i change the APN's? Obviously I know to back my current one up either via Root toolbox or go in the root folder and find my APN.xml (xml right?) and manually back it up. I think i need not say anymore as im sure ive planted the seed...now lets see what grows in you guys' minds....

Well not end of story, you could try finding other metro apms, maybe that don't throttle, but its not very likely.
