Changing color

searched the forums and google to no avail.

2 changes i would like:

I would simply like to change the default menu background from black to white, for example, on a long press a black menu comes up, the system menu is black. I know some apps have this option, is there an option for the whole phone as a default setting?

Also I would like to change the text selector color from red to something else. whenever you have to make a selection it is highlighted in red. example: long press on a web url, copy paste etc pops up. The menu is black, and the selected color is red.

Any way to change these?

take it you've got Android 2.3 then? The menus are black to conserve battery life. In all other versions of Android, the menus are indeed white, oh dear.
Well I'd head over to Android Development and Hacking - xda-developers to see what you can do. the hacking section and community there is a little more active than here
