Help Changing to other language other then english

Have decided to pick android over ios. Though i notice the inconvenience of switching in between language.

Been googling through through every corners on language support but it only puzzle me further.

I've wanted to switch my input and default language to japanese but there's no option for that. Some users have actually find their phones preinstalled with that and yet on my hand i'm holding the same phone... nothing.

Anyone could enlighten me abit on this android coz i'm totally new. I'm currently using HTC incredible S on Froyo.
