Anyone notice it takes much longer to charge with PC/USB as opposed to AC?

    Yes. Well documented too.

The standard USB interconnect has less juice to offer.

Yep, plugged into a wall it goes from 30% to 100% in about 1.5 hours. Today it has been plugged into USB went from 30% up to 80% in 2 hours... still waitin.

I think that's normal for all devices, isn't it? A standard USB connection just isn't able to provide the same power that a wall outlet can. That's why desktop sized (3.5") external hard drives still come with an AC adapter. The USB cable doesn't give it enough juice.

Standard USB 2.0 connectors on your PC supply up to 500ma. I believe our battery is 1400mah so it would take just under 3 hours to charge if the phone was not consuming any power. The Droid won't charge while "off", so it will take more time than that.
