Root City ID

Personally, I like City ID. I like knowing where unknown numbers are calling from. BUT the current ROM I installed has it removed. Does anyone have the apk file so I can reinstall it? I am running the new 2.2 leak.

Man. I'm not flashing another ROM. I just flashed three times and it's annoying to re-setup my stuff again... especially just for CityID. I was just hoping someone had the APK.

You can go into the zip file and extract what you need, I've done it several times. The foles you would need to extract are:
CityID.apk (found in the /system/app/ folder in the zip)
com.cequint.platform.jar (found in the /system/framework/ folder in the zip)
and
com.cequint.platform.odex (also found the /system/framework/ folder)

which file did you find the odex in?
I'm going crazy trying to find the odex, and still have not found it!

alternatively, if anyone has the odex from before the nov 11th update, you can be my new best friend by providing me with it!

There is a similar app in the market for .99.

Some people have said it doesn't get the location for all calls, but .99 is better than $3/month.

I've been using City Caller ID since May and it works great. Free as well.
