so i tried some themes and whatnot had the bootstrap on my phone and rom maanger for a bit, ended up wanting to go back to stock, removed root, removed bootstrap, flashed my nandroid backup then did a system wipe. Now every time i reboot my phone it boots into clockworkmod recovery v2.5.0.6, first i thought that wasnt suppose to be there anymore and second why the hell is it coming up every reboot. Any help would be appreciated ty.

I'm bringing this thread back up because mine is doing that now, but I'm still rooted. My phone shut off by itself twice today. I had to pull the battery to get it started back up the first time. The second time, that didn't work. The phone comes up to Clockwork recovery and won't seem to go any further. I just rooted last week and everything was working fine until today. Can anyone help me?

Even after I select reboot system now, my Apex graphic comes up for about 2 seconds and my phone shuts off and goes back to Clockwork recovery, or it shuts back off and my battery charge graphic pops up (because I had it on the charger).

Now it won't even come on unless it's plugged in (wow, this thing has regressed so fast). I pulled the battery and then started it back up again. If I try to bring it up it either goes to clockwork, or just brings the battery charge screen up ans shows the battery at 0% jumps up to 20% then up to 60% (which is the level it was at 2 hours ago). If at anytime I unplug the charger, the phone cuts off and will not do anything at all, it's like it needs to charger for power.

    Thanks Steven.

I'm not sure I can SBF, since my phone is only showing 60% battery. I tried restore too but it checks for MD5 sums and finds MD% mismatch.

Yw, Rudy. TBH? It's pretty much supposed to boot into recovery in case bad things happen to good phones that are rooted. This gives you flexibility to fix problems such as boot loops and bricks without having to sbf.

That stated, the phone will always reboot into recovery when plugged into a wall charger. Other than that, mine will boot normally when it's not charging more often than not.

Yeah, when I unplug it from my charger, it won't do anything at all, it won't even attempt to start up. Right time I unplug my charger, it goes dead.

It wasn't restoring to my latest backup when I rooted the phone so I used the only other restore point on there. It seems to be restoring so far with that. I just don;t know where that restore point is taking me.

I guess I'll need to either go back to unrooted or clean and do the root over again. I just downloaded HandCent yesterday, I wonder if that had something to do with it.

Dang, it restored itself, but is still doing the same thing. This sucks.

i had this problem. i opened droid x bootstrapper and pressed bootstrap recovery and then waited until a message popped up and then pressed reboot recovery. phone rebooted into recovery and i selected reboot now. afterwards, it booted into android and i rebooted it again and now it doesn't boot into recovery every time.

I can't get to boot strap. My phone only gets half way into the Apex start up, or when you would hear droid when you turned your phone on, then it shuts off again. All I can get to is clockwork recovery.

I just hope my battery doesn't drop too low to where I can't do anything. It won't charge in the condition it is in. It was showing 60% before it crapped on me, and Rooler's directions warns you not to sbf if you are below 80% battery.

OK, the battery shouldn't be a problem, I still have my original battery and I charged it before I put it away just in case I needed it later.

Just need some help in the steps I need to take to fix this. Looks like some other guys are getting help with issues somewhat like this, so it shouldn't take long.
