I think that's pretty good guess.

I think the S3 will be out much sooner this time around probably by middle Summer.

New version of Galaxy Note by Middle September

Only thing I see that is better over the spront One X variant is a replaceable battery on the GSII.

I for one will go EVO with the LCD2 display, camera system and hopefully better radios, GPS and audio qualities.

I am soooooo glad the GSIII isn't a show stopped. I have a GSII and am ready to come back home to HTC :)

Hmmm looks like a very solid phone but I think I am going to stick with the Evo LTE after watching that and looking at the photos. I do not like white phones and not a fan of that blue one either. Colors aside though specs seem pretty much on par with the Evo LTE. It has a slight advantage with removable battery but by everything I have read the 2000mah battery will be more than enough for a day.

I do like the eye tracking software to keep the phone awake(assuming it works well) it is a great feature. I will call it a wash though as I really like the kickstands on my Evo's:)

With great marketing and solid Brand recognition I am sure the GSIII will outsell the One X line, but I don't think you can go wrong with either. EVO for me this seals the deal:D

EDIT: That wireless charging is a bit tempting as well

So.. the GS3 comes with a 4.8 inch screen as compared to 4.7 on the Evo, comes in 16,32 and 64 gig models PLUS sd card which means technically you can expand to 96 gigs, a quad core xynos vs a dual core s4, thinner with a removable 2100 mah battery but the Evo is killin it? I've heard fanboyism before but sheesh. I'll even give the Evo the screen win (even though many do prefer the AMOLED), and I can't even give you the camera considering the pics the One X takes couldnt even best the GS2 or the 4S.

I mean sure, being able to take 100 pics in a minute is cool (or however many it is) but in pretty much all the comparisons the One X has come in last in the actual quality of the pics between the 3. So i'm trying to figure, where's the kill here lol. And engadget has already said the GS3 spanks the One X browser easily (no surprise there) so help me understand the "killing" thing.

Actually, that means up to 128gb, if you consider the 64gb card is working fine on many android phones (including my Photon).

May 29 for Europe, means North America/US is probably looking at end of June at the earliest.

Motorola is next up for any "announcement," so I'm hoping to see that at the beginning of June.

Seems like a good phone. I'd want to play with both before passing judgment.

You are telling me that people will allow and actually WANT a live device watching them ALL THE TIME!?! You've got to be kidding me...
And it is considered a feature?!
This crosses the line, and I consider it a complete and total security flaw in every sense of the word.

To each his or her own I guess.

I thought I was 100% sure I wanted the evo 4g LTE...but after watching the sgsIII event, I'm not so sure anymore. The S3 didn't completely blow my mind away with hardware, but Samsung has really done some work on software that I like.

Samsung copied HTC with the best shot feature! lol! LTEvo all day!

he did say IMO, not IYO...I agree with him. for me (ME), the cam plus cam ui, kickstand, slcd2 or whatever it is, speaking of comparisons the s4 in most I've seen handles the other one for most tasks etc., I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference in thinness, hd voice(as it will be), availability, would be nice to have removable battery , but I've never had to replace a battery and generally upgrade yearly, and for me the more burst shots the better to insure I get the one I like . kinda sounds like an over reaction to his IMO comment which one could misinterpret as fanboy ism as well don't ya think...I say it all with LOVE

Agreed! They copied HTC best photo feature! lol! And beside having removable battery, I didn't see anything to say whoa! I did like how you could keep the video playing while in different apps! LTEvo all day!

yes they did add what seems to be a ton of "new" software...I only wonder how much of it will go down the "it was cool in the beginning but now meh" road...similar to the 3d feature on 3vo, at least for me. in the end it was about the things I used daily and over the long term as it related to specs and hardware...but I agree software folks should rejoice. some of it seems pretty cool. I wonder how much of it could be found in the market, although having everything in one place is much easier

It is all a matter of opinion for example:
As far as space goes the Evo LTE comes w/ 16 gigs expandable to 48 or possibly 80. I would never need any where near that much with Google Music and cloud everything now a days so that is a mute point for me(though sure technically a win for gsIII). I will definitely give you a win on the 2100mah removable battery(though it looks like the Evo LTE will last plenty long enough based on One X testing with 1800mah) Screen size again 4.7 is almost too big imo so 4.8 is even worse(its a preference thing no clear winner) as far as screen I am biased because I tested out the One X and the screen is phenomenal way better than any Amoled I have seen yet. We do not know what processor the US gsIII will have rumors have it with the same S4 chip in the EVOLTE. I do really like the wireless charging and eye tracking software I just don't know if it is enough for me to hold off on the Evo. There are screen awake apps that suffice and wireless charging though really nice is not a must have for me(even a negative as sometime I like to pick my phone up and use it while charging)

So you are right no kill in either direction they are both great phones I really don't think there is a wrong choice here? To each his own

Kickstand baby, its all in the kickstand! I will take Sense 4.0 over Touchwiz anyday. As far as a quadcore SGS3 making it to U.S. shores, that's to be seen if it plays nice with LTE. Other than that I agree with other poster, its pretty much a wash and agree it personal preference.
I think I will stick with Beats Audio as well.

you have to copy nowadays, so I'm not surprised there . all the manufacturers copy each other at various points in time. no way to compete if they didn't. EL TEvo stands out to me as well though for various reasons...now let's just hope it comes out may 18th or close to it

I love any phone that has a kickstand too...still want to see if Motorola steps up for Sprint, but I do have to admit that if the E4GT 2 translates to almost the same device as the SGS 3...I have to give it more consideration than I was initially thinking I would.

It's personal preference! I just prefer Sense over Touchwiz! Quad or Dual it doesn't matter, as both phones run liquid smooth! Both phones are beast's! SGS3 has feature I like and LTEvo has feature I like...it comes down to what suit you! It's sense for me!

For me the GS3 has a slight advantage over the LTEvo with removable battery at this point. Once we get both phones up and working we will see. But for me, having the option of a removable battery is important. summer time is when I travel and don't always have access to charge my phone.

Agreed, I am kickstand junkie and so will be keeping a keen ear out (hopefully soon) about MoPhoQ. Photon would be my only second consideration versus LTEVO. Don't get me wrong E4GT killer phone. Just need a kickstand and not the case/clip on type, built-in :)

I've been holding out as well, launch day OG EVO is still my daily driver(w/OG Batt, just say'n). While, the wife rubs her Photon in my face :p, Temptation of E4GT was there, but the need for kickstand ruled out :( SGS3 vs LTEVO = kickstand for the win! :)
