Completely new to root..should I?General

    I am VERY interested in rooting my Droid Eris...but I am VERY new to it..I don't understand overclocking or whatnot or even what ROMs are in general..should I root?

    hell i tried and failed. . . Im stuck in the middle of a root. . . trying to figure out how to go back to stock so i can get the new software update that is out.

    In the same boat, seriously considering it. Been reading a couple things on it this week, will probably give it a shot soon.

    its tough but worth it.

    edit... well let me rephrase, flashing the engineering bootloader is tough, the root was easy with the runinlinux.sh method - whichever that is.

    I flashed one rom, stuck with it and I love it.

    Phone has never run faster, more stable, and is a delight to use.
