Connect a wiimote to andriod 4.4?

So I have been searching this up for a while and although there doesn't seem to be a way to connect a wiimote directly to the device, I've seen some people say that they use Bluetooth dongles to connect a wiimote to their device instead. Is anyone able to confirm that this works for android 4.4 at all, and if does, can it just be any Bluetooth dongle or will it have to be specific or have specific requirements? I am using an Iropro with two micro USB ports and an OTG cable so I can use a micro USB or regular USB. I am using a proper wiimote, it is not a fake one.
