Connect screen blacks outSupport

    The screen on my Connect intermittently blacks out, mostly while making, receiving or during calls.

    If I need to put it on speaker or need to access the screen during a call, the screen won't turn on, it's like it just shuts down and I have to pull out the battery to reboot it because I can't even power the phone off. It becomes completely unresponsive.

    I have scoured the internet looking for others with this problem but can't seem to find a solution. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know how to fix this problem??? Thanks!

    Did you install a screen protector? If so then you are probably blocking the proximity sensor. It is just to the left of the front facing camera.

    I never installed a screen protector. The phone has been doing this since I bought it. I guess I should just take it back.

    looks like you got a defective model. the screen will go black when you put it next to your face to talk and it comes back on when you tap the screen.

    did you buy your phone online or at a metro store?
