I got a cheap unlocked Galaxy i5500 from Amazon. It seems unable to connect to Google servers (app store & gmail) on a standard wifi connection. I don't have a GSM internet connection.
Doing some research I found that mostly with connection issues it has to do with APN settings, which have to do with GSM connections.
I'm guessing that the phone thinks it needs to connect to Google's app store via GSM and not wifi. Is there a way to connect to Google without a GSM connection? I can browse the internet and connect to other servers just fine.
