Connecting to PCSupport

    I want to dispense with using the clunky Kies. But if I just connect my phone to the PC and try to access the drive I get the message 'Please insert a disk into Drive G'. What's going on and how do I fix it?

    Hi,
    You didn't accidentally forget to pull down the notification bar (the "curtain" on your screen) and follow directions for using USB-storage? Without that your phone will be seen as an external disk.

    I have the same problem on my "rooted" Nook Color; (I actually get E and G drives; computer see the Nook hardware, but cannot access either drive). Any suggestions?
