I'm rooted and I have alot of app updates, but I'm getting constant fcs from the app market to update. Is it a root issue or a google/android issue ? I got a droid by the way. Any help would be appreciated.

That could be from a number of things. I just used a MM theme on my Google talk icon and notification and started getting the same thing. I removed it and all is good.

What ROM, theme are you running

I'm backing up my phone right now but I think there is a fix for that in ROM Manager under Jrummy

I just found this on Cyanogenmod Forum about your issue

"Did you try going into manage apps & clearing the market cache? If not, try it-also might try running fix_permissions in rom manager or terminal."

It worked for a few over there

ok, go into Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - Menu on bottom of phone - Filter - All - Market - Uninstall updates.

I just did this and it is working after I reinstalled Google talk icon and notification.
