I have just ordered a new Droid X and I am trying to get my contacts synced with my Gmail account, but I am not having any luck. I have been able to sync my Gmail emails and Calendar, but everytime I try to sync my contacts the little circle thingy spins for about 3 seconds and then gives this error:

"Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

It has been doing this for two days now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to sync my contacts?

    Thanks!

Wow! I must be the only one having this problem then.

Called Verizon tech support and they had no clue and couldn't figure anything out on how to fix it. Bummer!

If I were you I would just use a backup app. There are plenty of free backup and sync application in the market for FREE that can help you out. This way you never have to plug in your phone again and can keep everything up to date at all times. Check it out!

    Hope that helps!

I have been using Lookout since I got my Droid, but was trying to see if I could get the regular Sync to work as well.

    Thanks and good suggestion!
