Help Contacts Gone!

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me out... I'm sorry if this was resolved... I know there was already a discussion already about the contacts disappearing I'm not sure if it was ever truly fixed. I can't seem to restore my contacts no matter what I do even rebooting. I have the note 3.v 4.2.2 and I downloaded contact sync fix however when I try to run the program, ads keep popping up so fast I don't get a chance to press start. It deleted about 95% of my contacts. Any ideas what to do? I'm not exactly a computer person so please bear with me... Thanks so much for any help!

First off welcome to the forums

Secondly, are your contacts backed up using Google?

If not did you choose what contacts to display in the contacts application in the settings? This could be an issue.

This happened to me recently and from a pc I went into gmail>contacts>more>restore...it should give you a restore date point. Hope this helps. It happened to me after gmail app updated. I synced google account on phone and they were all back...phew...I had lost about 30 percent of contacts.
