Hi there folks. I'm new here so please be gentle with me!! lol

Just got a new HTC desire after owning an iPhone for the last year, and all i can say is..... WOW!! this is undoubtedly the best phone on the market at this time, i used to defend the iPhone on other forums as i thought it was the best thing since sliced bread!! But the desire is all that the iPhone is and more!! well done HTC :)

Anyway, back to my problem. I want to transfer my contacts from my old T-mobile Sim card to my HTC orange Sim. now, i know that i cant put my Sim in the HTC as it wont register, but i also have all my contacts on my PC, so is there a way to put them on my SD card and then import them to the phone? I tried putting them on but when i go to people>import/export>import from SD> I then get "Google/phone" which ever one i press i get the same message "scanning SD card failed (reason: no vCard file found on the SD card)
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how i can do this.... Or do i have enter them manually one by one? (please don't say i will!!:()

    Thank you

Firstly, welcome to Android! Glad you've left the dark side and joined us;)

As for transfering contacts, the best way i can suggest is to install Bump onto your Iphone and your Desire (yes, Bump is for android too!).

I am slowly but surely getting my best friend onto android. He is an Apple fan boy so it's hard, however i have managed to convince him to install Iboot and android on his 2g Iphone (he had to rummage through his cupboards) and he admits, he likes it:). Next set, make him buy a Desire:D

Sync your contacts to outlook via your iphone, then sync your Desire to outlook. That's the way i did it from my iphone.

I used it when i got my Desire. Only had to install it on the Desire as i already had it on my Hero, and worked like a dream! best app by far.
