I do realize the Gio is an older phone but it works fine for my purposes. Unfortunately I think while trying to persuade that WRETCHED Kies program to download some pics (The only thing I use Kies for) a setting was changed in my phone. It no longer sees any of my contacts. (All on the SIM)
If I add a NEW contact, it disappears, too.
The SIM works fine in other phones - All the contacts are there.
I've looked at every setting I thought might be related, and of course I've shut down the phone and pulled the battery. No joy.
I'm stumped. If anyone can offer a setting change to fix this I would be very grateful.
