How do you copy android contacts' birthdays to the calendar?
If your contacts are synced with Google, you just need to enable the 'Contacts birthdays and events' calendar by going into google calendar settings (on the web) and add the 'interesting calendar' from the More tab.
Then on your phone, select to display the 'Contacts birthdays and events' calendar.
Can I sync my existing contacts with google? if so how?
In the People app click Menu > Import > Google
It doesnt work,
I have all my contacts saved to my phone, and I want them to sync with google...
I dont have an google option in my imports
Have you setup a Google account in
Settings > Data synchronization > Google?
Just out of curiosity - is there an option for those of us who don't want Google store their contacts or calendar?
Yes, its all set to sync, there is nothing on my Google Account, all the contacts are on my phone, I go into People -> Settings -> Google Sync and it comes up with a little round arrow, and then it goes and I go on google and still nothing....
Install "exportcontacts" app & run which will create one csv file in your SD card. In your PC, select import option in your google account and select this csv file and import. Now, all the contacts are in google and will sync in your phone. Once you confirmed it got synchronized then you can deselect phone contacts in "view" option or delete.
